Web Warriors (2009)

Web Warriors is a one-hour documentary on cyberspace, released on December 27, 2009. It was produced by Edward Peill for Tell Tale Productions Inc. The documentary starts with talking about the world of hackers like Mafia Boy - a 15 year old high school student who rose to infamy in 2000 by causing millions of dollars in damage after single-handedly shutting down internet giants - including Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, Dell, eTrade, and CNN.

The documentary progresses and cover topics like Botnets and Cyberwar.  Donnie who goes on a journey into the Russian cyber underground as he searches for the creators of a computer virus with the hopes of collecting the $250,000 bounty being offered by Microsoft.

Web Warriors dissects the massive cyber attack against Estonia in 2007 which virtually shut down the country and resulted in NATO deploying its cyber response team and interviews with cyber sleuths from the FBI, the Pentagon, NATO, and the Department of Homeland Security who explain how cyberspace has become the latest battle ground between nation states and how terrorist groups are already plotting their next move.




Hacking Democracy (2006)

Hacking Democracy is a documentary film by producer Robert Carrillo Cohen and producer / directors Russell Michaels and Simon Ardizzone, released on November 2, 2006 at HBO, the DVD released on March 20, 2007. Filmed over three years it documents American citizens investigating anomalies and irregularities with 'e-voting' (electronic voting) systems that occurred during America's 2000 and 2004 elections, especially in Volusia County, Florida. The film investigates the flawed integrity of electronic voting machines, particularly those made by Diebold Election Systems, and the film culminates dramatically in the on-camera hacking of the in-use / working Diebold election system in Leon County, Florida.

The Matrix Revolutions (2003)

The Matrix Revolutions is a 2003 American science fiction action film and the third installment of The Matrix trilogy. The film was released six months following The Matrix Reloaded. The film was written and directed by the Wachowski brothers and released simultaneously in sixty countries on November 5, 2003. Despite the fact that it is the final film in the series, the Matrix storyline continued in The Matrix Online.

Freedom Downtime (2001)


Freedom Downtime is a 2001 documentary film sympathetic to the convicted computer hacker Kevin Mitnick, directed by Emmanuel Goldstein and produced by 2600 Films.

The documentary centers on the fate of Mitnick, who is claimed to have been misrepresented in the feature film Takedown (2000) produced by Miramax and adapted from the book by the same name by Tsutomu Shimomura and John Markoff, which is based on disputed events.

In June 2004 a DVD was released, including three hours of extra footage, an interview with Kevin Mitnick in January 2003 (shortly after his supervised release ended), and various DVD eggs. It also includes subtitles in 20 languages, provided by volunteers.

Unauthorized Access is a documentary movie directed by Annaliza Savage, released in 1994. Unauthorized Access describes about the the hacker underground community and their activities of 1990's decade, covering few interviews of those hackers.



Jurassic Park (1993)


Jurassic Park is a 1993 scince fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg and is based on a novel written by Michael Crichton. Before even the book get published, many studios and production companies started approaching and bidding for acquiring the picture rights. Universal Studios brought the rights before even the book getting published.






The film revolves around a newly created island full of dinosaurs. Story gets more interesting when one of the worker within the park tries to steal dinosaurs embryos.

Jurassic Park can be considered as one of the landmark in using CGI. The film was huge box office success and was well recieved by audiences all over the world.

Tron (1982)

Tron (1982), an American science fiction movie directed by Steven Lisberger is one of the must watch movie for hackers. The movie recieved praises and attention from critics and hackers alike due to the amazing visuals. It is a cult classic that all hackers out there will definitely find interesting.

A hacker is digitally transported into a simulated universe where he has to fight the villain, the Master Control.


The development of the movie took almost 6 years and it all started when Lisberger, writer and director of the movie, looked at a sample reel from a computer firm called MAGI and saw Pong for the first time. Influence of video games and computer technology can be seen through out the movie to the extend that they have even added Easter Eggs. For example, Pac-Man can be seen behind Sark when Tron and Ram escape from Light cycle arena into the system.
